As the fifty-eighth feature on the Fresh Dose. blog, we are introducing the ever-so-talented Stealth.
Each week Fresh Dose. will be featuring a new artist from our playlist on our blog to highlight great independent talent.
We asked Stealth five questions to help us understand a little more about his song titled Sold Me a Dream.
1: Choose 3 words that best describe you as an artist?
Moody Old Soul 😂
2. What was the story or inspiration for writing this record?
I had been signed and had a lot of people saying how everything was going to change and you believe them. It was a cathartic way of getting that frustration of not quite reaching my goals. It's not entirely aimed at another person/entity. It's also self reflective as I also sold myself a dream.
3: Shout out section - who’s your favourite independent artist we should listen out for?
St. Louis. I'm great friends with Cameron and he is one of the most talented musician and producer I have ever worked with and deserves every success that comes his way.
4: What’s your other favourite record on this week's top 20? Why?
I like High by Sheer Haimov. The songs catchy and fun. Love the bass riff running through
5. Our sister organization @hyper_tribe is all about creating the next generation of artists, what piece of advice would you give to them that helped you the most in your music career?
Make music that you love. It sounds really obvious. But so many people get pulled from Piller to post changing direction musically because of the opinions of others. And then when it doesn't quite perform the way they expected it hurts all the more. If you love the songs then the performance matters less. Because that piece of art means more to you than the stream count. And when it is a success its so much sweeter.
