Musical, genre-fluid, groovy
2. What was the story or inspiration for writing this record?
The song details the heart wrenching tale of a man falling blindly in-love with a woman he sees on stage and becomes obsessed with her, regardless of the consequences. It came from my own stories and experiences of lusty obsessions and falling too fast for people I shouldn’t have let into my life.
3: Shout out section - who’s your favourite independent artist we should listen out for?
4: What’s your other favourite record on this week's top 20? Why?
‘another’ - Calista Del Toro. What a voice, what a vocal arrangement. The sounds are really tasteful blend of modern and 90’s lo fi vibes. I also really like the simplicity of the the hook and lyrical concept. Found myself singing along to the hook first time round which is always a good sign ☺️ x
5. Our sister organization @hyper_tribe is all about creating the next generation of artists, what piece of advice would you give to them that helped you the most in your music career?
Don’t stop making things and use every tool at your disposal to promote them. Take time and be patient, nothing good comes out of rushing, it’s a process, trust it. Be humble and strive to learn as you progress. Always offer to pay people for their services if they’re helping you. Don’t be late. Work out 3 times a week.
