1: Choose 3 words that best describe you as an artist?
Honest, unique, focused
2. What was the story or inspiration for writing this record?
This was really the first song I had single handedly written and produced that I felt comfortable enough to share with others to help develop it. I had been stuck in a rut for quite a while as to what direction I wanted to go in with my music but with this song everything just seemed to come together at once. I want people to feel empowered when they listen to this track, it’s all about loving yourself, that feeling when someone can’t get enough of you because your love is like no one else’s.
3: Shout out section - who’s your favourite independent artist we should listen out for?
Strama - big up! She helped co-produce this track! She is a really close friend of mine and the fact she not only writes her music, but produces and mixes too is crazy!! If you want some neo-soul/alternative r&B vibes check her out!
4: What’s your other favourite record on this week's top 20? Why?
